What do I with a large, whitewashed studio space after several years not having such a workplace and thus locating much of my art practice outside of the studio? A historically constructed—and absurd—drama accompanies the artist’s “struggle” in the studio. Observed from a distance, a question forms: can a studio art practice make connections to a larger community of people and ideas and places?
