Market Walk
2008 / Alexandria, Egypt
As a most conspicuous outsider walking the streets of Alexandria, Egypt, I came to see my presence in that city as a type of performance. Combining recorded audio of one such walk through a fish market with a staged walk in the studio, this video attempts to communicate the awkwardness of my reluctant yet daily public performance in Alexandria. Market Walk was produced as part of my Place In Place Of: Alexandria project.
